Creating memorial jewelry involves a meticulous and careful process to ensure that each piece is both beautiful and durable. Here’s how it’s made:
1. Collection: You provide a small amount of your inclusions, usually around 1/2 tsp or the size of a quarter. We will send you a shipping kit to collect your inclusions and label for each one.
2. Creation: I will combine your inclusions with resin to create a solid, durable material. This material is poured into a mold to make a stone or into your preferred bezel.
3. Completion: Once your piece(s) are complete, we will carefully package them, along with any leftover inclusions and a care card, and return to you!
Turnaround time is currently 6-8 weeks after I receive your inclusions. We do not keep stock of jewelry findings so everything is made to order. Is it possible for your piece(s) to be done sooner? Yes! But this is our normal timeframe that you should expect.
We mostly work with ashes, fur/hair, sand/soil, flowers and fabric. We can also do breast milk. If there is something else you would like to include, please send us a message at keepsakes@floracreekplace.com to see if we can help!
Absolutely! For example, you can mix your pet ashes with a fur clipping. Just make sure that you leave detailed instructions when you order and on your information sheet that is sent with your inclusions (this is included in the kit!)
It depends on what you are sending but here are the typical guidelines:
Hair: 1 inch long, 2-3 clippings per piece/loved one
Ashes, Sand, Dirt, etc.: ½ tsp. per piece/loved one
Flowers: send a couple of petals of each color or flower you want used in each piece.
Fabric: a quarter size per piece of fabric you wish to send. It will be cut into smaller piece to fit within the bezel/stone.
Any leftover inclusions will be returned to you with your completed order! Breast milk will be returned in a powdered state. We will not be able to keep milk in it's liquid form.
Once you have placed your order, I will send you a kit with all the supplies and special instructions on how to package and ship your inclusions to me. And if you want inclusions mixed—label each item very clearly!
If you are unsure of your ring size, and want to find out before ordering, you can go to a jeweler (recommended) or you can order a cheap ring sizer off of Amazon. Make sure you are measuring the largest part of your finger, which is may actually be your knuckle, to ensure the ring will fit.
If you want to go ahead and purchase your ring, just choose the option "Unsure of Ring Size" and we will send you a ring sizer in your shipping kit.
You will need to mark your ring size on the form we send in the kit to let us know which size to purchase.
Yes, you can! Just make sure to put in the description box that that's what you're sending so we can send you enough bags in the shipping kit for each one. You'll be able to label each bag as well so we know what we're using for each piece.

caring for your Jewelry
Sterling silver will tarnish if you don't take care of it. Keep your Jewelry dry as much as possible. Take it off when washing your hands, taking a shower or swimming. Keep it in an airtight bag when it's being stored. Do not wear it if you're doing something that causes you to sweat, like at the gym. Avoid contact with harsh chemicals. Use the included microfiber cloth to polish it. I am not responsible for damage to the jewelry due to improper care. You will receive a care card with your jewelry!
